The Fortnite Chapter 5 countdown kicks off today as fans prepare to say goodbye to Fortnite OG and hello to a brand new Chapter.
Despite the success of Fortnite OG, Epic Games is moving on from the throwback season and bringing Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 to their Battle Royale to close out 2023. With a new map, Battle Pass, weapons, and more set to hit the game, players are eager to explore the fresh meta and POIs coming to the island.

The Fortnite Chapter 5 countdown reveals just how long there is until the next Chapter goes live on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023. The big update will be loaded onto the servers after The Big Bang live event, with a downtime starting at 11:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023.
