With so many leaks surrounding Call of Duty 2023, fans want to know when a possible Call of Duty: Warzone 3 could release.
Although Warzone Season 5 is set to drop next week, there is a certain interest in the next iteration of Warzone as the next Call of Duty title approaches. The community originally assumed that after the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, there would eventually be a Warzone 3.
Activision's recent decision to shut down Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera, the last remaining piece of the original Warzone, could impact the release of a potential Warzone 3.
Warzone 3 Release Date
As of now, there is no confirmed release date for Warzone 3. Since Activision rebranded Warzone 2 to just Warzone, it is unknown if Warzone 3 will ever become a reality. If it does, though, Warzone 3 will likely come out on Nov. 10, 2023, alongside the rumored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Although it is unknown if the game will transition into Warzone 3 or simply remain Warzone, recent leaks do reveal a new Warzone map coming in MW3. Allegedly called Las Almas, the map is said to have a Verdansk-inspired layout with plenty of POIs and buildings, unlike the open fields of Caldera and Al Mazrah.
The report also claimed that slide cancelling would make its grand return. The future of Warzone will remain uncertain, though, until Activision confirms the game's trajectory and future features. More intel will drop in Warzone Season 5 with the official reveal of MW3.
