Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is heading to Steam, but will it be playable on Steam Deck?
Originally a PlayStation exclusive, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is getting a PC release via Steam. The popular superhero game tells an original story in the Spider-Man universe, drawing inspiration from plenty of popular media releases. While the original game released on PlayStation 4 back in 2018, a remastered port was made available for the PlayStation 5 in 2020.
Now, on Aug. 12, the remaster will head to Windows PCs via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It's no secret that Spider-Man Remastered is a pretty graphically demanding game, so what does that mean for the Steam Deck?
Is Spider-Man Remastered Playable on Steam Deck?
Fortunately for handheld fans, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered has been verified as playable on the Steam Deck. Developer Insomniac Games made the announcement yesterday.
According to Steam's website, games that have been verified pass compatibility checks with the Steam Deck and shouldn't require any tweaking or adjustments in order to run effectively.
This notes a significant moment for fans of Marvel's Spider-Man, marking it as the first time the game will be playable on a handheld device.
