Valorant Agent Tier List April 2022

Our Valorant Agent tier list for April 2022 is here to break down which of the characters are the best to use now that the new meta has settled down a bit once again in Episode 4 Act 2.

As the meta currently stands, there remains a wide range of Legends to dominate with in Apex Legends, as usual. However, that's not to say that players haven't figured out which characters are slightly better than each other after the recent waves of patches re-working Yoru as well as the Controllers. Here is how the Agents stack up in Valorant Episode 4 Act 2 in April 2022.

Valorant April 2022 Agent Rankings

S Tier

  • Jett
  • Sova

Kicking off the list are the two Agents that remain no-brainer, consistently useful picks in almost all formats. Jett and Sova remain the most complained about characters in the game for good reason. The sheer amount of utility and the strength they hold defines rounds and how teams have to play. Astra used to be in this category too, pre-nerf, but Jett and Sova have long managed to evade the sights of Riot Games' balance teams.

A Tier

  • Chamber
  • Viper
  • Omen
  • KAY/O
  • Skye
  • Breach
  • Raze
  • Sage
  • Brimstone
  • Killjoy

In A Tier are 10 Agents that all have clear uses for certain maps. The only outlier here would be the pseudo-Duelist Chamber, who's inching closer to broken territory with his utility as players continue to refine how to best use his kit. Viper and Omen certainly feel as though they are the only smoke Agents you need, outside of Brimstone for Fracture and Bind. In general, it's a great time for flex/Initiator players as KAY/O, Skye and Breach have all become necessities for certain maps (e.g. KAY/O on Ascent, Skye on Haven and Breach on Fracture). Lastly, Sage is almost a must for Icebox, as well as Killjoy for Ascent.

B Tier

  • Reyna
  • Cypher
  • Neon
  • Astra

There four Agents in B Tier are still viable, but have clear alternatives that most teams could prioritize. In the pro meta, Reyna is almost all but gone, however, it's no surprise that she remains one of the most popular picks in all casual settings. As long she's able to have players continue to look like gods using her, Reyna will remain relevant. Next, Cypher and Neon are great picks, so as players have taken the time to fully get the most out of their kits, otherwise, they aren't necessarily must-picks. Astra has really fallen from grace, but is still useful since she can smoke from anywhere on the map.

C Tier

  • Yoru
  • Phoenix

Lastly, in C Tier are Agents you just almost never see in competitive Valorant settings. Despite the re-work, it's hard to justify locking in Yoru aside from simply wanting to do something different. Phoenix is clearly next in line as the character's that in need of a buff. If you enjoyed playing Phoenix, you might as well just learn and play KAY/O right now.
