Will God of War Ragnarök have downloadable content (DLC)?
Now that the highly anticipated action-adventure sequel has finally been released on PlayStation consoles, it is perhaps no surprise that many are wondering whether or not Santa Monica Studio has any DLC expansions in the works. Here's a breakdown of whether or not God of War Ragnarök will have DLC.
Will God of War Ragnarök Have DLC?
Santa Monica Studio and Sony have yet to announce whether or not God of War Ragnarök will have DLC. Additionally, despite having DLC armor and attire bonuses, none of its day-one editions and pre-order bonuses mention any plans for DLC expansions either.
Unfortunately as well, unlike with other first-party PlayStation studios like Guerrilla Games, it's hard to bank on Santa Monica Studio announcing DLC for God of War Ragnarök considering it has never released any story DLC for any God of War game.

God of War Ragnarök is a direct sequel to God of War (2018), serving as the finale to the Norse era of the series. Additionally, Ragnarök is the ninth installment in the God of War series, though players would mainly benefit from playing the 2018 release to enjoy the new game to its fullest.
While no future games have been confirmed, Santa Monica Studio director Cory Barlog has reportedly said that after the Norse era, future games could see the series tackling either Egyptian or Mayan mythology, alluding to the fact that there are other mythologies co-existing in the world.
